Hermès

Hermès entered modern perfumery in France in 1951 with Eau d'Hermès, composed by Edmond Roudnitska. The line translates leather, travel, gardens and craft into restrained formulas rather than repeating one accord. Later in-house perfumers expanded that vocabulary through named places and materials.
