Osmagora — the agora of scent

Image rights and takedown

Osmagora is a library for finding fragrances. To identify a bottle and to write about it, we show product photographs and house logos that we did not make. This page says plainly what is ours and what is not, and it gives anyone whose work appears here a fast, simple way to have it taken down.

What is ours
The words on this site, our editorial writing about scent, and the way the library is organised, corrected and connected. The compilation itself took years to assemble. Our own artwork, such as the note and family imagery and the article illustrations, is ours too. The site design and the code are ours.
What is not ours
The bottle photographs and the house logos. Those belong to the houses that make the fragrances and to the photographers who shot them. We show them only to help you recognise a fragrance and to write about it honestly. We do not claim them as our own work, we do not sell them, and their appearance here does not imply that the house or the photographer endorses us.
If an image is yours and you want it down
Write to hello@osmagora.com and we will act promptly. To help us find it quickly and be sure it is the right one, please include: a description of the image or work; the exact web address of the page or the image on Osmagora where it appears; a short statement that you hold the rights or act for the rights holder; how we can reach you; and your name. That is all we need to take it down. You do not need a lawyer to ask, and you do not need to explain why.
Formal notices
For a formal notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, send it to hello@osmagora.com with the details above, and we will treat it as one. A DMCA notice must also include a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them, and your physical or electronic signature.
If we removed something and you think we should not have
Tell us at hello@osmagora.com with the same details: what was removed, where it was, and why you have the right to have it shown. We will look again. If you are responding to a takedown as the person who posted the material, that is a counter-notice, and it should include your contact details and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake.
Trademarks
House and brand names, logos and bottle designs are the trademarks and property of their owners. We use them to identify fragrances and to write about them. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any house or brand.
Repeat notices
If a source repeatedly and rightly asks us to remove its images, we stop showing images from that source rather than wait to be asked each time.
Changes
If this page changes we move the date at the top. The takedown route will always be here, and it will always be free to use.

This page is about images and other people’s work. What we do with your own data is covered on our privacy page, and the rest of the rules are on our terms page.
