Founded in Chicago in 2022 by Laura Oberwetter and Caleb Vanden Boom. Clue Perfumery is a small independent house where perfumer Laura Oberwetter designs, formulates, bottles and ships each fragrance by hand from the brand's Chicago studio. Morel Map, its best-known release, builds on geosmin, the earthy-smelling compound associated with rain-dampened soil, alongside notes like morel mushroom and dead elm.
