A third-generation perfumer, he learned within the Carbonnel family business under his father, Francisco. Also credited as Chris Maurice, he is known for saturated amber, oud, spice and fruit structures built for strong diffusion. His long collaboration with Xerjoff includes Alexandria II and Naxos.
