Trained at Givaudan's perfumery school, then worked at Givaudan, IFF and Takasago before going independent. He is drawn to abrasive contrasts, metallic effects, skin, smoke and materials that resist easy prettiness. Sécrétions Magnifiques and Rien are among his clearest statements.
