Entered perfumery through professional work at IFF rather than relying on the family name, then became Chanel’s in-house perfumer. His work is polished and architectural, using flowers, woods and amber in clean, spacious forms. Spicebomb, Dior Homme and Bleu de Chanel Parfum are major credits.
