Jil Sander's fragrance line began in Germany in 1979 with Woman Pure and Man Pure. The early scents mirrored the designer's reduction of fashion to line, fabric and function. Clean florals, aromatic herbs, musk and pale woods recur, while Sun became the range's best-known warm-weather family.
