Aesop's fragrance line began in Australia in 2005 with Marrakech, after the skincare company developed dozens of prototypes. The first scent joined sandalwood, rose, jasmine and neroli in a spicy woody structure. Later perfumes continued to favour herbs, smoke, minerals, woods and unconventional floral studies.
